Perry Lake Village Apts

I lived at Perry Lake for two years. Not only do you have to pay for laundry, which racks up your bill. You also get every March an increase fee for your water and rent. Which, in all reality, with the amenities that this place provides, should not be a thing. Secondly, I recently moved out at the end of March. As a heads up to those who plan on moving in, it is advisable to take photographs of everything in your apartment, as the $300 security deposit you pay will be forfeited if you fail to do so. I must say, we have lived in Perry Lake Village (altogether, separate & married) for 17 years and haven’t had any major issues. It’s a great location, close to shopping, dining, expressway’s & turnpike. Management & Maintenance (mostly Amber, Debbie, Dave) have always been on top of things when we call and something needs repairs or replaced. We take care of our apartment & they take care of us. They listen & care!

Living at Perry Lake Village has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend it based on my experience. • Unauthorized Entries: Maintenance entered our apartment twice without notice or permission, a complete violation of privacy and tenant rights. • Damaged Apartment at Move-In: We were rented an apartment with ripped-up carpet in both bedrooms and a walk-in closet that reeked of cat urine. Sure, they give you a move in check-list, but they’re only gonna fix maybe half of the issues you list. After several emails, management only replaced the closet carpet — the other damaged areas were ignored. • Broken Air Conditioning: We moved into an apartment with a non-functional AC unit. After multiple emails and calls, a technician confirmed the system needed full replacement. He said

Horribly maintained. Washer/dryer facilities never work & the office claims they have no responsibility to it. Office personnel never answer the phone, emergency maintenance requests tend to be deemed “not an emergency” even when there are busted pipes in the apartment. This place could have a better chance if they hired office personnel/maintenance that actually care about their tenants and not the dollars they bring — with proper management it probably wouldn’t be so horrible.

I have been living here a year now and I am very pleased I chose Perry Lake . My apartment is nice and bug free! A few minor mishaps but the office was on it and fixed anything I asked in a very timely manner . The maintenance men are pleasant and respectful. I can not hear my neighbors anytime of the day working thirds that's a plus. The area seems clean all the time, the pool is well maintained have not really had a issue. The ladies in the office are super friendly and helpful. I will be signing a new lease and honestly recommend this place .
