Palmetto Shores by Mungo Homes

As a designer in the commercial construction industry, I have big concerns with the stormwater retention methods Mungo is using. I bought a Mungo home in 2021 and have been pleased with the construction until recently. As I saw the new construction behind my home, I realized there was going to be a sloping issue due to the grades Mungo was creating directly behind my house. Once we had significant rain, my assumptions were absolutely correct. I reached out to the warranty department twice and they won't return my requests to address the issue. I have piles of clay in my backyard, my newly planted trees are being washed out along with all my mulch and my landscape rock. The retention pond gets full of construction trash, boxes, and plastic debris. Never has Mungo attempted to clean it out o

They said we were going to have a community pool 2 years ago and there is still no pool. They keep saying they’re waiting on permits. We were told it would be completed by July 6 th 2023. They haven’t done anything except put up a fence around the pool. The pool company said that’s what they were waiting on. Now the fence is up and they haven’t touched it. They had a sign up saying coming soon. Now they took the sign down. All they do is keep lying to the people in the development. I would have bought some where else if I knew how much they lie about everything. Anyone looking to buy in the neighborhood should stop and talk to people that live in the neighborhood before they decide to buy. You will probably change your mind.
