Ocotillo Place Apartments

This place is under new ownership. Everyone is very polite and management and maintenance have great communication with me every time. They make sure to let every tenant informed when making inquiries and the office manager is very prompt with responding and communicating with appropriate manners. This place is improving and the place is mostly calm throughout the day.

I have a friend that lives here. He's disabled as is his friend. I hear and saw for myself the grounds are not properly functional for the disabled. Grounds are very un kept. The pool is not functional at all. I understand that it's a low income space. There's no excuse for it. Gates missing and no security. Lots of kids here.

I rarely give bad reviews, but I wish I could give this apartment 0 star. They have 28 problems with tree roots clogging the pipes in the year. In order to remove a root, they emailed the owner, wait for her to approve the budget which took days, then they waited for the plumping company to check their schedule which took more days. My toilet in the picture was left unfixed for a week. They told me that other unit(s) had both of their toilets clogged for 2 weeks. Their new owner accepts emergency requests by email, which is very different from the industry standards. Don't rent here except that you want to drive every member of your family to use bathroom somewhere.

I am a good tenant. I feel they do not pay attention to detail in maintenance, trash dumping and especially the pool area we never have access to. The are quick to give tenants situations and other things. Also pay a tow company to ride through ready to tow your car but your kids cannot play at the pool. There is no reason for management to be so discouraged by having to take care of the grounds and each individual unit. Noticing now, they never replaces certain things in my unit. I’ve had to remove or deep clean ect. Overall it has good qualities but for the most part they neglect this whole property. Maintenance staff should be available, dumping disposed of, trees trimmed and pool area kept safe clean and available. It’s truly disappointing .

I've been living here for over a year now after I had to vacate my last home during COVID. So coming here was last resort. At first, it was kind of nice. But then there were leaks (one of which I reported four different times throughout the year and nothing has been done), mold growing on the bathroom walls (when I mentioned this to them, they stated there was nothing they could do because it would just come back), stolen mail (I've had my mail stolen three times and they told me that they couldn't afford new boxes) and rat/ roach infestation. The rats have been the biggest problem this year and the only solution they could offer was giving me rat traps and trap removal. They even stated themselves that their own apartment has rats in it (they live on the complex too). They've gotten into
