Oakwood Apartments

Horrible experience. I have lived at several places and have never experienced anything so horrible. The apartment rattle due to being near the train, Door system is cheap, getting locked out of home even during a regular business day due to door set up. No proper move in or move out expectation. We set up with a month to month lease due to our work being abroad over the USA and our month to month lease needed a 3 month notice? Doesn’t make sense to me. We did the buyout option paying close to $4k in one month to leave and yet getting another bill in the mail after. Called leasing office to have a better understanding of why we got another bill and we are immediately told we cannot have a conversation about the bill due to legal matters. Megan is horrible to deal with and will hang up on you if she isn’t in the mood to help you. Terrible management! Living here has been miserable for the last 9 months due to constant noise disturbances from neighbors.. music so loud it shakes the walls, yelling in the middle of the night, and other nonstop disruptions. We followed management’s instructions exactly: we kept logs, filed police reports, and even provided video proof. Despite all of that, management still refuses to resolve the problem. It’s clear they do not care about the comfort or well-being of their tenants. Their only concern is collecting rent. We’ve lived at these townhomes for the past 3 years. Over the last several months we have had ongoing noise disturbances all hours of the day. We’ve followed every step management advised such as filing reports, contacting the office, and even involving the police when necessary. Unfortunately, management has not upheld their own lease terms meant to protect residents’ right to quiet enjoyment. Instead of addressing the issue, the property manager, Megan, has been consistently unprofessional and dismissive she’s hung up on us, ignored our emails, and treated us as if we’re the problem for wanting peace and respect in our own home. If you’re considering moving here, be aware that issues won’t be taken seriously, and management offers no real support when problems arise.

The townhomes are nice, management is absolutely AWFUL!!!! Just waiting for a response to see if we were approved somewhere else so we can move ASAP!!! They can't seem to keep a manager for more than 2 months max, They make you pay a $70 cable package for cable that doesn't even work half the time, they make YOU pay their property taxes, I have lived in MULTIPLE places and I've never heard of no crap like this. They'll tell you one thing and then do something else and sit and call you a liar TO YOUR FACE! Then when you confront them about it WITH PROOF they threaten to kick you out. DO NOT MOVE HERE, unless it's your last resort

I am very happy with TEC management and oakwood apartments. My wife and I have lived here 2 years and we have not had any problems. Anytime there is maintenance that needs done we put in a request and it gets done in a timely manner. The apartment itself is great plenty of room for a family of 4. Assigned parking stalls to help with parking lot over crowding. Small playground and the complex is near a fenced in walking path so kids can ride their bikes and scooters safely. Only downside about these units is there is not much room for storage.
