Oak Forest Apartments and Townhomes

CONTRACTORS BEWARE! Oak Forest/ Ressco does not pay their bills! We are over past due on invoices over $6000. They will not Respond to emails or return phone calls. Their apartments are discussing and full of mice, mold and pipes for your water comes out black color city of Monroe needs to do something about the situation of these Townhouses.

So.....moved in dec 2022, in spring 23, we had a nasty wind storm, it tore off the gutter on the corner of the townhome i rent, and ripped off a panel of rotted wood from the bottom of the overhang. I told them immediately of the issue, but nearly 3 yrs later NOTHING is fixed, and i have critter's, like racoon's, squirrel's, bird's, come into the building through the hole. They climb up the tree's, and jump in. I hear them all day and night, in the cold months. I refused to pay, becsuse they refused to fix the issue, and in Nov, i personally told the lady who run's the lease office. I was assured it would FINALLY be taken care of. It wasn't, so now i'm being evicted, and that's it . Good riddance. Would not recommend you live here.

This is the worst place to live. I have been here since February of 2023. We have ran on emergency heat for two winter (which is not efficient and cost me nearly $500 a month with electric) I have also not had AC. Because our entire system was rewired incorrectly and is now disconnected completely. It was a fire hazard. In the summer of 2023 we made numerous request to have it repaired had superior heating and cooling come out stating it needed a FULL replacement. Office staff stated it needed corporate approval and it was never processed before the end of the year. We were then told they couldn’t provide any window units instead due to the heat. The a/c and heat stopped working. It took 3 weeks to get someone out to fix it and they came over and didn’t fix anything and left. Drains were all clogged and we couldn’t get anyone out to fix that. Half the buildings roofs are falling off and the sidewalks flood when it rains so you either walk through a deep puddle or through mud to get in and out of the house. The lawn service they have launches rocks and sticks at your parked car no matter where you park and the dead trees throughout the parking lot just fall apart when there’s any wind and the giant sticks hit your car when they fall. Our front door lock never has worked and we couldn’t fix that either. I lived here years ago and came back to see the reviews again... Some things never change. DO NOT MOVE HERE. They'll try to bind you into a lease, force you to pay 2026 prices for their 1984, ran down apartments. You have better luck living under the bridge on Telegraph and Custer. This place has and always will be a trash pit, rodent infested sess pool. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HERE. They take forever to fix things, will lie directly to you, say their working their hardest to help you, and bleed you dry for money all the while. Do yourself a favor and let this placed get condemned. The city has a civil case against RESCO about this abomination of a property. Keep your kids healthy and away from the mold and fecal filled walls.
