I’ve been living in this building for over three years now, and during that time the management and staff have changed a few times — but at every stage, there have always been amazing people here: genuinely kind, helpful, and professional. Right now, the team is truly wonderful. I especially want to mention Juan (concierge), Beatriz (Assistant Property Manager), and Drew (General Manager) — they’re incredibly polite, caring, and always ready to help. As a mom of two little ones, I really appreciate how kind and attentive everyone in the building is with kids — from the cleaning staff to the management team. This is a brand-new luxury apartment building with rent around $5,500 per month, and the staff are professional and genuinely try to support residents. However, there are a few serious comfort issues. Despite being advertised as a non-smoking building, marijuana odor and smoke can travel through the ventilation system and even enter from nearby balconies. Hallway noise is also a frequent problem, as corridors are often used by children as a play area, especially early on weekends. I hope management will address these concerns over time, because the building has great potential and could be a truly wonderful place to live with stronger rule enforcement.

This building is certainly not getting the credit it deserves! Everyone on staff has been so amazing, Lizeth, Beatriz, Desmond, and Mel made my move in process absolutely seamless and are always available to answer any and all questions. The building is beautifully well kept, staff is always kind, and the amenities are well designed. I could not be more grateful for everyone here and the warm welcome I have received.

I want to thank Lizeth for showing me the units and this building and for answering all of my questions. The building is one of my favorites in all of the surrounding area! The apartments are big, light, beautiful, modern and well designed. They are much bigger than many apartments I’ve seen and have so much closet space! The amenities are great. They even have a movie theater room! The location is great because it’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants.

My husband and I are technically the first residents to move into Slate when they first opened in June of 2022. As well as our daughter and three dogs. When we first moved in, we stayed a year. We move because the location is convenient for everything; grocery stores, pharmacies, an urgent care clinic, Walmart, even a dog park within the building and just down the street. But in 2022, if I had to rate Slate from a scale from 1-10... I would give it a 3. Don’t let me forget the faculty/staff/concierge/valet/maintenance weren't the best. *Two Thumbs Down* Back in 2022 there were very few rules, the residents didn't respect the place nor the amenities.
