Meadowdale Apartments

I currently live and the management and office absolutely suck. I’ve had 3 of my packages stolen and I tried calling the front office to see what time I could go in and talk to someone about cameras but nobody answers I try to leave a message and it tells me it’s not available. I try to go in person to the office and front sign says they close at 5pm it was 4:22pm when I got to the front door. They’re just money hungry people running these apartments. Stay away from these apartments I REPEAT DO NOT RENT HERE

Breaking the lease was completely justified. Let's start with the utilities, I swear it felt like we had no control over our heating and ventilation system. The water was most definitely not clean enough to drink, even after we put a filter on the tap. We paid the extra expenses of buying bottled water. The exhaust system in the bathroom brought in cigarette smoke from our downstairs neighbor, who should not have been smoking within the apartment in the first place. The management takes no steps to enforce rules. The handbook they give to new residents is a joke. Their "emergency" number goes to voicemail and their management office has the strangest hours! Even if you call during business hours, you'll most likely have to leave a message and they won't get back to you. They tacked us with

The worst place to live. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I thought that the management of the previous owner was bad but the actual Eden Prairie apartments management is the worst that I have ever seen. I have been complaining about the heat for a while but they really don't care. It's super cold in my unit. It is 60°F during day and night . They are required by the law to have the heat at least at 68°F. My kids got sicks so many times during this winter because of this irresponsible management. We have 2 laundries in the building that have been out of service for months and months. We complained so many but they don't care. Can't wait to get out of here!

You share 2 fire extinguishers for 12 units and they are 2 years expired. Good thing building is up to fire code… oh wait

So far so good. I haven't had any major complaints about the place. One thing that bothered me quite a bit was when we moved in the windows would stick shut and despite maintenance coming in and saying they fixed it I still couldn't open them. We have to pry them open when we want to use them. Otherwise I've had no issues. The people in the office have always been very helpful and the apartment itself is decent.
