Jim McDonald's recently did a home inspection at our condo for a pending sale. He was hired by the buyers. He cited our electrical box as non compliant. ( said we had illegal double tap on breakers that were clearly marked as a double tap and in full compliance). If Mr McDonald would have looked it was clearly marked as was the inspection pass sticker from the city of Rockford. We had to pay out of our pocket to hire an electrician to say it was in compliance or the buyer was going to back out of the offer. I would recommend against using this company for your home inspection needs. He was recommended by our realtor and did a terrible job. He reported many little problems and not the major issues that will cost us thousands of dollars; things like roof problems, foundation problems that allow water to seep into the basement, sanitary drain issues, etc.
