My daughter was a transfer student into UNH last summer and I did some online research and found Madbury Commons and told her and her teammates to go check it out. From that first day Mimi Kelly, Community Manager, has been absolutely wonderful to deal with!! My daughter never signed a lease before or had to rent an apt on her own and Mimi could not have been more helpful guiding us through the process. In these past few months I have asked a ton of questions about various things and Mimi not only always answers in a timely manner, but she takes the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions or concerns. Her customer service is top notch!! If you are concerned about your child living so far away and renting an apartment, then rent at Madbury Commons. Not only is it located right on
I just want to start off by saying if you are thinking about living in Madbury Commons I would prepare yourself for paying too much considering what you get. At first it seems like a decent place to live because of the location. Which I do have to say, the location is good, but just about the only thing that’s good. From day 1 my roommates and I noticed how little natural light you get in the living area of our apartment. We only had 1 window in our whole living area and no windows in the bathroom, making it feel like a prison. Therefore, we had the lights running 24/7 which made it feel like we were wasting electricity and just made it have a really weird vibe. Another thing we noticed was how slow the WiFi was, it was running at about 4 MB per second on average. If anyone knows about int
MadCom was the best place for my son to live for 3 years while attending UNH. Close to campus and safe! The staff was always helpful whether it was me(mom) inquiring about payments or leasing questions. The maintenance crew was always there to help immediately with any concerns the boys had. Moving in and out was made so easy with the use of the big bins on wheels, which were always easy to find. When moving out for the summer, the dumpsters provided by MadCom made this process easy as well. My son is completing his Master’s Degree at UNH and chose to live in a place that included parking as part of his lease because he really will need his car this semester. I wish he had stayed at MadCom and paid extra for the parking. He hasn’t even moved in to his new place yet and I’m dreading the o
I would caution anyone considering signing a lease here to do their research thoroughly. All things considered, the management and maintenance teams were very kind and did their best, despite Madbury’s exploitative business practices. Before signing, we were given a tour of a “similar apartment,” but were shocked upon moving in to find that our unit had zero outward-facing windows. The complete lack of natural light made the apartment feel dark and cramped. When we moved in, the apartment was surprisingly dirty, especially considering the outrageous end-of-year cleaning fees charged to tenants if the space isn’t spotless. The speakers on our TV were blown, our chair was broken, and there was mold in the bathroom beneath the already damaged linoleum flooring—likely due to the nonexistent
Mimi Kell is a lovely Community Manager, welcoming both to UNH students and their parents. My daughter has been happy here as a junior and leased an apartment for senior year too.
