Lockwood of Lyon

I highly recommend Lockwood of Lyon. My dad moved into Lockwood over a year ago. He always said he never wanted to live in a senior community. One day last year he said he wanted to check out Lockwood of Lyon because he heard so many great things. He just said to me the other day he should have moved there years ago. He was so isolated before he moved into Lockwood. Now he is part of photography group, has breakfast every morning with a bunch of friends, he loves going on outings, the staff is like family so friendly. When the weather is nice he loves walking on the paths and around the community. He no longer needs to worry about all of the costs of household repairs. I would love to see more people like my dad benefiting from connecting with other like minded adults.

We sold our home in July and moved in here in South Lyon. It is very peaceful and quiet, we are able to have our dog and our cat too, so it is much more like our home! We opted for a two bedroom which gives us a bath and a half. We also get two meals a day with a professional chef and very good meals.

I had the recent pleasure of spending time at this facility. First let me say it is beautiful inside and out. But what impressed me most was the staff and the way they interacted with the residents, as if they were family. It was a vibrant welcoming place to be and the residents were happy to be there. I highly recommend this community for your loved ones.

I am a resident here. Lockwood of Lyon is an excellent senior residential facility 55+. I feel very safe and secure here. I am loving it here there are lots of activities to do. Our activity director has lots of things for us to do 5 days a week, on site and off site. There are lots of amenities from beauty salon, a theater, work out room, dining room and even a fireplace in the main lobby.(which will be nice in the winter) it’s decorated beautifully throughout the building. You can get lunch and dinner 7 days a week in the dining room. We have 2 chefs and their meals are amazing. Maintenance takes care of your needs the same day or by next day . I would not even go near this place. It is not what they advertise. There is nobody there before 9:00am and everyone leaves at 4:30. After that you are on your own and heaven forbid if they have a power outage because there is no back up generator except for the kitchen freezers. My mom was in there for a year and the power went out and I couldn’t get into the place at 4:00am. My mom had fallen cause there were no lights and I had no access. Thank goodness there was a lady awake and let me in through her apartment. I was able to get her up and back in bed but there was absolutely no one to call for access. Also the elevators by her place broke down for more than 2 months and she had to use the elevator on the opposite side of the building and had a long walk to get to her apartment. I hav
