Lennar at Cortona

We had a fabulous experience buying from Lennar! The floor plan for model 4 is modern and perfect for us, because I can work from home in the loft. The construction team were top notch. Turnkey services offered were design center, mortgage, and title. Christine did a great job as our sales contact who supported us throughout the process because we didn’t use a buyers agent.

I had been seriously considering purchasing a home with Lennar for several months and had been saving in preparation to move forward. The homes and floor plans are great, and my experience up until recently had been positive. During a recent visit to the model homes to decide between two floor plans, I encountered an interaction that made me uncomfortable. When I arrived, I was approached by an agent and politely explained that I had been there before and only wanted to briefly look through the models on my own. Despite this, she insisted on accompanying me and stated she had previously worked with me. To be courteous, I agreed. As a pre-sale buyer, I quickly became very impressed by the build quality and the materials used in the construction of our new home.  My wife and I were able to watch the construction of our home from the foundation up on a nearly daily basis.  In our previous 2 homes, built by a Lennar competitor (I don't want to name names, but their initials might be KB) - it was difficult to find square, plumb, and true surfaces.  Not the case here with Lennar (probably because the job-site is NOT littered with beer cans as many others are).  The construction team (Gus & Chris) do a fantastic job ensuring everything is done right, and delivered on schedule. I recently toured the Lennar community at Cortona and wanted to share my honest experience. While the location has potential, there are a few important considerations for prospective buyers or renters. First, the room sizes felt unusually small, even by new development standards. This could be a challenge for those seeking comfortable everyday living space or planning to grow into their home. Secondly, during my visit about five months ago, the community still appeared underdeveloped, with ongoing construction and limited amenities in place. This may have changed since, but at the time it didn’t feel fully ready for move-in. Lastly, the community’s location—while scenic—is right next to the mountains, which were under fire alert. Best home buying experience I’ve ever had, and this is my fifth home purchase. The quality of the home finishes are outstanding. The construction crew has been wonderful too. Ours sales agent, Christine, was phenomenal to work with. She had our backs, as buyers, through the whole process. I can’t say enough great things about her and Lennar homes.
