Legacy Cornelius Apartments

I’ve been at Legacy for ten months and I couldn't be happier, very peaceful. The grounds are kept clean and manicured. I have heard horror stories from friends who live somewhere else and they come across dog waste on their premises. Well, not here at Legacy. The office and the renters work together to make sure there isn’t any pet waste on the premises. It is very peaceful living at Legacy Cornelius Apartments. The welcoming atmosphere is greatly appreciated. The caring staff is very accommodating; they will go out of their way to help as much as they can. Jennifer in the office is nice, sweet and pleasant. The maintenance guys, Evan, Jesse and Bill are on it. They respond quickly to maintenance calls, along with being pleasant and friendly. It’s also a great location, close to everything

Great awesome neighborhood and community! The team here is awesome. The maintenance crew, leasing office, landscaping and trash removal work very hard! I feel very comfortable and safe at legacy cornelius!

I have been living at Legacy Apartments in Cornelius for 4 years.. it's a great place.. the staff is always friendly and helpful and the maintenance crew, Jesse, Bill and Evan, are terrific.. this is an example of how helpful the folks are here.. I'm 90 years old.. I don't get out much these days but I do try to walk most every day after lunch, depending on the weather and how I feel.. it was difficult walking for me after the recent snow and cold spell we had last weekend so I didn't get to walk much this past week.. but yesterday, out of the blue, Evan and Bill showed up with shovels and shoveled a path through the ice for me so I could get to the street to walk if need be or to my car to drive.. I have lived at Legacy Cornelius since January 2024. The only reason I have remained here is the convenience to my child’s school and having a garage. As many others have already shared, this community is not luxury in any form. It has been the worst apartment living experience I have had so far. I will share a more comprehensive review at a later time, but I want to specifically address the trash can policy because it reflects the overall lack of consideration here. Management requires residents to bring in their trash can by 9 AM every day. While I understand wanting the property to look presentable, the policy is unrealistic for real life. People travel. Highly recommend Legacy Cornelius apartments as I lived there for a few years and never had any serious issues. Any maintenance problems were resolved that day or the day after and the leasing office employees were always helpful. Quality of the apartments were good and the neighborhood was well taken care of. Only complaint would be sound barrier in between units was not great, but you're going to find that at most places. Overall, it was a great place to call home for a few years!
