Laurel Bay Apartments

Sarah has been so helpful through this move into Laurel Bay! However, maintenance is incompetent so far. I have yet to see them and have a list of issues: rodents & ants -Sara did send an exterminator but I had to secure the entry points-water leaks, no locks on the windows, no shelves in the fridge, front door and bedroom door misaligned. The continued use of Incompetent Maintenance Men is looking like the death of livable apartments in Ypsi, this is on the road to becoming another Arbor One Apartments, not good! UPDATE: Joel and crew showed up and fixed 1/2 the problems onsite and a schedule to repair the remaining items, Thank You Joel & Crew, I happily stand corrected! Hi, I am a veteran who has lived in Laurel Bay Dr. Apartments for nearly a year now. I had an excellent experience with the office manager Sara. She was friendly and accommodating of my need for an apartment. I have had a few maintenance requests, All have been completed in a timely manner as well. I love the peaceful atmosphere here, it's quiet and I have a porch to be outside and enjoy my days in peace. I would recommend this place to others for sure 😊.

Now that I’ve received my security deposit after moving, I can leave an honest review. I take no pleasure in making this review, but it must be made. I moved into Laurel Bay in August of 2023. We had a date set for my move in, which was July 28th. When I received my key and went inside, the place was a nightmare. Dirty, no doors on any hinges, no mirror (just a hole in the wall) in the bathroom, no light fixtures on and again, dirty and the toilet was disgusting. Management said that maintenance was stuck in Georgia and that my apartment wouldn’t be ready for another week. I had signed the lease already. Did they expect me to live there in the mess with no lights or a mirror? Luckily the lease on my apartment I had before didn’t end until August 14th, so I lived there until the apartment

I have lived here now for 5 years. I have had a wonderful experience. Staff and maintenance are outstanding! Grounds are well kept. Community is very quiet and peaceful. Could not ask for a better view of Ford Lake. Would highly recommend to family and friends!

Management has a history of lying about repairs. Maintenance is a fairy tale. Interior seems hastily thrown together. Utility room door frame is now noticeably crooked, and the gap between the wall and ceiling looks to be widening after only 1 year. First place I've lived where someone tried to steal my car.
