Lakes at Leesburg

You know, it took me over ten years to realize LAL is not the senior park for me -- lol. For me noise at night has been a continuous issue since the Fall of 2017. The noise is coming from within the park with a number of different sounds.. When I would mention the noises to others, they would ask "isn't there a NOISE ORDINANCE for Lake County?" What is that nightly noise that is pounding/pumping? Really noticing it 12am and continuous for hours. Sounds like Sea Fern @ Tortuga and permeating elsewhere. A long-gone neighbor nearby complained about the same thing and two male neighbors on Tortuga have mentioned it. My house is probably the smallest among a number of quite larger homes especially those closest that back up to me and are really too close - they never should have put in such b

I guess I am not cut out for this kind of living. I don't like that if you go outside there is absolutely no privacy. Tried some of the clubs but didn't feel like I fit in. Nobody obeys the rules we do have. And I don't find it the friendliest place I have live by far.

Just had to call the sheriff’s dept.. New people running around drinking, loud music, Dog not on leash, party at 8# Buccaneer. This is not a retirement community by any means.... Do not move to this location... They have ALL KIND of issues here......And Lake County just adopted a noise ordnance Thank God !!!So if you want peace and quiet this is not the place for you…. Not sure why we have a club house….Case # 250034274 lake County Sherriff Dept.. They are worthless on calls... They cause there own problems. But if the Krispy Kreme light is on look out .... Lived here for 6 plus years...I would not recommend this place. It is to funny where adults act like kids.. I have seen kids more mature..Then the HOA is always broke and points fingers. I think corruption from what I have been told...

Moved to LAL in 2017. Have seen the community decline since moving in. Management does not seem to make rounds. As much of the community are Snow Birds, the community appears unkept (I am a year round resident ). Have had to contact Hometown Corporate office as the office and local management does not seem to care. Monthly assessment rates keep going up forcing a lot of the older folks out. While I am aware that the cost of living and inflation has increased but I for one don't see anything upgrades for the money. Lot rent is almost to the point that it is equivalent to a house payment.

The Park is very friendly and quiet. Walking distance to banks, grocery stores, pharmacy and several restaurants bar, and shopping mall, within a gated community. Looks as though all lawns and homes are well taking care of. Two new homes being constructed for less than One hundred ten thousand dollars. Nice pool and heated whirl pool year around. Fishing in the ponds and the Park is very pet friendly. Many people only use their golf karts for basic transport. great place safe ,secure, and serene.
