Kline Properties took over management of our building the first of May. Initially, I was hopeful because the last property management company was pretty terrible. I was quite certain that any other company had to be better than Compass but I was quickly proven wrong. The only presence I have noticed by Kline since they acquired our building was quietly taping a change of management notice on our door four days before rent was due. I know that these things must have growing pains so I didn’t let that bother me and moved on, hoping that they would fix the many problems in this building. None of the grounds have had any work or maintenance since they took over. It has been over 6 weeks since the grass was mowed, making it increasingly difficult to navigate. Do Not rent from Kline Properties. My father rented an apt on Dickson Rd for a year. He paid his rent on time. In February, his heat went out and it took them almost a week to fix it. They still required him to pay full rent, even though he had to go a week without heat. In March, their was a problem with the hot water tank. He was without hot water for 5 days. They did not give him a credit or anything. He was still required to pay full rent. Fast forward to March they sent out a letter stating that the lease would not be renewed. My father moved out end of April. The apt was left CLEANED and they refused to give him back his deposit. They wrote up a bogus letter with fictious repairs. They charged him for blinds(have pictures with all blinds intact) they charged him a cleaning fee when
me and my wife lived in our apartment for a little over 6 years. I spent a little over three and a half hours cleaning the place before we moved out even calling up the main office and asking what needed to be done to ensure me and my wife received our deposit back. both times i was assured on two separate occasions that as long as there wasn’t any damage to the apartment and we cleaned it thoroughly then we wouldn’t have any issues. i asked specific questions like was i required to scrub the walls or the shower and the owner stated that wouldn’t be required but would be appreciated. i went ahead and scrubbed the shower tile walls anyways along with scrubbing the walls and even going as far as pulling out the refrigeratorn and cleaning behind there which hadn’t been cleaned before we moved
I wasn’t planning on posting a review today, but I looked up Kline’s phone number to give them a call and got lost reading the reviews. I figured I could toss in my two cents! I’m roughly 8 months into my first lease with Kline, and honestly this has been one of the better renting experiences I’ve had so far. Tamika has been overwhelmingly kind, patient, responsive, and cooperative with me and has assisted me in navigating any hurdles I’ve faced so far that could relate to my housing. Maintenance has always responded in a timely manner, even if the problem couldn’t immediately be fixed. I always receive a call back should I have to leave a voicemail. Anyone and everyone should RUN, not walk away from this company. Since I've been with them, my ceiling has fell in(almost on my son's head), and no one showed for 3 days. During that time we had no water, and they refused to pay for a hotel for myself and my family until the repairs were done. The furnace stopped working and needed to be replaced and they raised my rent $200 more a month(made me pay for the furnace). The hot water heater broke and needed to be replaced. And now the kitchen facet FELL OFF and water was shooting everywhere and the emergency tech called once and sent one test message and no one showed to turn the water off so all of my things are soaked( and they can care less. Not to mention I am a stroke victim that has had brain surgery (they still do not care). Again RUN
