All the negative reviews here are completely accurate. I could write a dissertation of all the ways this “builder” screwed us over. Google reviews couldn’t supply the space to list it all, paid thousands to fix issues from the build, still fixing issues. He takes absolutely no responsibility. When you call him on it, all professionalism goes out the window, more akin to a petulant child. The reviewer who stated to get even the smallest of details in writing if you decide to go with this builder is 100% correct, but quite honestly, I wouldn’t wish this builder on the worst of enemies. The photos below are the floors buckling so high from the slab that the back door would not open. When he couldn’t figure out how to fix it, he walked away.

I purchased my home from J.W. York in 2020. My experience with everyone (construction manager, warranty person, etc.) on the team has been positive. When I had questions or an issue arise, the appropriate person would respond in a timely manner and answer my questions and/or address the issue. Everyone I have dealt with seems to be kind and caring. I still reach out to Billy when I have questions or need recommendations, and he is always willing to help. I am happy with my home and glad I made the purchase.

I highly recommend JW York for those looking for a quality and thoughtful build. The attention to detail and architectural touches are something you won't find with most builders. Jared and staff (Chris, Jill, Tonya, Billy, Terrill) were all very helpful every step of the way - from questions before buying, during the warranty process, general check-ins, and with the HOA transfer. My family and I have enjoyed our home for over a year now and plan to continue to enjoy it for many years to come.

I love looking into what homes JW York Homes are building! Leadership is amazing and I had a great experience inquiring about a home. I’m excited to reach back out when the timing is right.

Poor quality and service. If you are considering contracting JW York or purchasing a JW York home, I strongly urge you to RUN (don’t walk) as far away from the company as possible. I purchased a newly built home (original homeowner) from JW York, and in less than TWO years, here is a small sample size of the issues I’ve experienced: water pouring from the ceiling, kitchen countertops being replaced (twice), bathroom faucets being replaced (twice), electric issues (ceiling fan re-wiring and replaced twice), storm water drainage, hot water heater repair, HVAC repair (twice), range vent hood replaced (twice), drywall repair and significant repaint. And this doesn’t even scratch the surface of other areas where JW York cut corners to protect his high profit margin at the expense of a quality
