J & R Home Inspection

Nathan and Jessica were amazing. I was looking to purchase a very old mobile home and before making an offer I wanted an inspection. Nathan was extremely thorough and explained everything in detail to me. I am 4 hours away so he called me before leaving the property in case I had further questions. Unfortunately the home was not in great shape as you can imagine being 43 years old with absolutely no updating. But he explained in detail, options if I chose to make an offer. My offer was not accepted. However, I wanted to be sure to write a review because they were super professional!! I will use them again when I do find a mobile in the area. I was referred to J and R Inspection from a local resident who had used them previously with good results. I was pinched for time and knew it would be nearly impossible to get an inspector to do an inspection within a few days, but thought I’d try. I called and was surprised that they were willing to rework their busy schedule to fit my inspection in within 2 days! Their great customer service didn’t stop there… the inspector, Nathan, showed up on time and did a super thorough inspection. I was able to see the completed report via email by the end of the same day. I would not hesitate to use them again and refer them to my friends and family!

We were the sellers in our transaction, so didn't directly hire J&R, but we couldn't have been more pleased. Nathan arrived on time at our home during a period when Covid-19 is active in our region. He practiced proper social distancing at all times, and wore a mask at our request. He is professional and courteous, and his inspection was well-organized and efficient. He did find a few things we needed to repair, and those items were identified to us by our realtor within 24 hours of the inspection. We were very impressed with the excellent service, and would definitely recommend J&R Home Inspections!

Nathan is unqualified to be a home inspector. Be careful hiring this company. He overlooks issues in front of him and write up items that are not truly an issue. They also withhold photos from you because “they can’t all fit in the report”. But in all honesty they were withheld to cover their mistakes. Stay away. Spend the extra $50 for a reputable company so you’re actually getting the services you paid for.

Having inspections can be unnerving; however, Jim and Sebastian were excellent in explaining what they're going to do, respectful, honest, and very thorough. Thank you both!
