Inkwell on Grandview Apartments

If you’re looking for a place to stay..look no further. Inkwell is, in my opinion, the best apartment community in Birmingham (and I’m not just saying that because I live here). From management to maintenance, everyone makes sure you’re taken care of and treated like more than just a unit number. I’ve lived here for two years and have only needed one maintenance request handled quickly and professionally. The maintenance team always speaks when they see me, and if anything comes up I know exactly who to call or I just submit it in the portal and they’re on it, diligently. The management team: Natalie, Chelsea, Ale, and Harley are wonderful. They’re literally one call away and they plan fun, spontaneous resident events throughout the month. I’ve lived at Inkwell for just over a month now and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. Natalie, the manager, gave a wonderful tour. She really took the time to show everything Inkwell has to offer. My apartment was white glove clean when I moved in. The grounds are always kept looking nice. I really cannot say enough about how well this place is managed and maintained. The amenities are really top notch too. I look forward to living here for the foreseeable future.

Lived at inkwell for only a year and could not wait to leave. My dogs and I were attacked in April at 6am from a dog who slipped its collar. We know accidents happen and thankfully injuries were minor, so I did not feel the need to bring up the incident to management. However, less than 3 weeks later, the same dog ran after my friend while she was running around the complex. Yet again, slipped its leash. She was able to outrun the dog to safety and was okay, but clearly the owners of the dog had not done anything to prevent the aggressive dog from slipping its leash. Therefore, I informed management of both incidents. Management handled it wonderfully and we were so thankful for Shannon. Moved to Inkwell recently - we have received great service from Natalie throughout the leasing and moving in process, all the staff is very attentive and helpful. The apartment is excellent, community has great amenities, beautiful views of the surroundings. Very happy with our choice.

This has got to be the worst complex I have ever lived in. The ladies at the front office and staff never have any solutions for any questions. They have no clue how to manage a property. Not enough parking leaking building . Dirty floors hallways and allowing smoking on property are just some of the issues at inkwell. I was unloading a heavy box from my car just to come back to a sticker being on my windshield. When I asked for something to remove it as I have to now drive putting myself in danger because of it I was told no . I pay to live at a building that is against the residents. I have never seen this before. Staff is to support the buildings needs. The gentlemen that was so worried about putting this sticker on my car should be more worried about the leaks and trash everywhere . Al
