Customer Reviews
Deciding to live at the Hornet Commons has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. The fact that majority of the positive reviews are from the individuals themselves that work and live at the commons is telling enough. Since moving in, my roommates and I have had to deal with no wifi for months with no real help from the commons, multiple packages stolen from the mail room, cars getting broken into, and even missing mail including a paycheck. Additionally, we have had problems with the Resident Advisors on call (Shantalle Saavedra & Carmen Andrade) being rude and condescending and taking it as far as to note things that were inaccurate due to unfair biases. For a facility that is built and structured around college students, they very much do not care about them AT ALL. The only posit
Without a doubt, the Hornet Commons is the worst place to take residence. If you’re an incoming/returning student, do yourself a favor and stay away. The RA’s are misinformed, disrespectful, and uneducated on procedures related to the job they work. The management has been subpar- poor communication, snappy responses, and an overall sense of entitlement coming from holding their position. Save your troubles- they love to make your life as difficult as possible. There have been unacknowledged break-ins, terrible parking availability, and a lack of the basic, core necessities a college student would need. Take your money to the Lark or the Wexler- hell, even Academy 65 or The Crossings- anything is better than here.
I don't like writing reviews whatsoever, but I have been getting worse experiences here this academic year when it comes to my mail. Not only I couldn't get my aftershock tickets and had to recall it last minute, but my paycheck was also returned to sender and I couldn't afford this months rent. Today, I went into the mailroom to get a special present that was delivered couple days ago and it is also nowhere to be found and USPS already claimed the package was delivered. I don't know if its the new RAs but management has been getting worse compared to last academic year when I could get all of my mail on time. I really enjoyed living here because of the convenience of being close to school and the friends that I made along the way, but everyone that I know that lives here has been complai
Living here has genuinely been a joke I wish i could give zero stars. Contrary to certain reviews I will also state that this isn’t my first out of home living and this shouldn’t be taken as a grain of salt. I don’t leave reviews but I feel so strongly about this place. My car was broken into in their lot and they were no help, countless packages of mine have been stolen from their mailroom also with no help and the RA’s have been extremely rude and set on making student life harder. On top of all of this the wifi that is supplied by them has been down for the entire year even after countless calls and a rejection for the request to buy my own router. I am begging yall to not pick this place to live at I will not be renewing my lease and I will continue to warn any of my friends to not pay
The lady RA that was working today at the front office was very rude didn’t want to help me find a solution for my package my package was delivered 3 days ago and I have yet to receive it because they keep saying I have to wait to the mail person come at night but it’s been 3 days since my package was last delivered to the office. That specific RA just keep giving attitude and like she didn’t want to help I don’t recommend living here at all they don’t even have their mail room set up right and numerous of my packages have been stolen and yet they haven’t been helpful at all I definitely would never recommend to live here to nobody the rent is too much for them to be acting rude all the time this is why im not renewing.
