Home Abstract and Title Company

Received a call from previous mortgage company requesting forwarding address because title company didn’t have this information on any paperwork. Also, it was an assumption and title company was unaware until closing day. Unprofessional and nonexistent customer service.

REALTORS - please do not allow your Veterans to use this title company. They do not understand VA loans - particularly in regards to Seller Concessions and property tax prorations. Their interpretation is costing a veteran to lose money on a closing today. They were fine on other aspects - but allowing a 100 percent disabled veteran to lose money is not acceptable. They lay the blame on the Fidelity National underwriter - but my team has closed this same scenario with other title companies using Fidelity National and the veteran was treated properly.

Worst experience of my life. I’ve been doing this for 6 years now and haven’t never had this experience.Paid a earnest and option fee of $2300 for a property I had under contract . Things didn’t work out so I ended the contract . Did so during the option period so which set the expectation for me to get back my $2300. Was told the survey had already been ordered so $595 would be taken out of my earnest money/ option fee. Then had to wait 10 business additional days just to get that back.

Fantastic title company. Friendly staff; experienced, knowledgeable closing/escrow officers. If you’re purchasing a property and closing at Home Abstract, you can expect a painless, smooth process.
