Highgate Apartments

If there was an option for no stars that would be my response. First off management is MESSY and treats tenants like they are beneath them. My window has been broken for months and I’ve reported it multiple times. My apartment has been broken into on several different occasions and the manager stated put cardboard up as if that would fix the problem. They have cameras just for show they stalk my apartment because it’s right across from them but you haven’t seen any one continuously breaking into my apartment. There is an infestation of ants in my apartment that I reported and was told pest control is coming out. I lived here about 10 years ago and it was such a great complex to live in and I am currently looking for a rental and drove through here and couldn’t believe how they keep it now. Trash piled up at the dump, random garbage through the parking lot, messed up blinds with sheets as curtains, and the grass/bushes I don’t think have been touched in years. It is so sad considering how awesome it was before.

It's not the same place that it was 8 years ago when Mrs. Patricia was working in the office. The upkeep has gone down tremendously. The trash compactor has been down for over 6 months. I saw the back side of a building 2 weeks ago and almost lost it. It was horrible to simply walk the walkway. Not just the look, but the smell was awful. This is not acceptable. It's like anyone, and anything is being let in. You should care about what your living surroundings look like. It's hard to keep good people in the office. Once you get used to one person, within 2-4 months, they're gone. I don't understand.

Highgate & Royal American Management, Inc not sure how this is okay? Called leasing office at 8:30am. Husband bumped into Maintenance at 8:57am. Maintenance states office is closed due to all workers being at the sister property in Pinson area. I call the sister property- no answer. Maintenance stated they do not have the “line” to unclog the flooding drain that is continuously leaking all over my kitchen, dining room, laundry room.. etc. he called the manager. 11am still leaking.. I call corporate at 12noon 4xs and kept getting Rachel’s VM. Left a message. I call sister property nothing. Hubby tries to call RAM and spoke to Rachel who stated that the manager is aware and is trying to find a plumber. The regional or manger never called back after 2pm and it has now become 2inches of water.

Absolutely ridiculous!! 5 or more dumpster it look like a damn landfill. It’s very embarrassing riding up the hill and that’s the first thing you see. Corporate don’t return calls and could care less how you’re living. Because why is this ok! They don’t fix anything people are moving left and right.. trash throughout the apartments just disgusting rodents roaming the property (raccoons). They need to hire people that value their job and tenants. Because they don’t answer phones or emails barely in the office! Leasing women is very rude!!
