Higher Grounds Apartments

Would highly recommend against living here. Easily the worst apartment my husband and I have ever been in, especially for the cost. When we initially moved in, the place was filthy. We relayed our concerns that same day and were told that they would make note to come in and clean/repair, but after not hearing back, we spent an entire week steam cleaning the carpets, scraping red gunked candy off windows, removing items previously left in the storage unit, and trying to replace vents that were constantly falling from the ceiling. As we lived here, we started noticing more problems and always reported them to maintance. The worst of which was the air conditioning that broke last summer and had still not been repaired by the time we moved out recently although we'd tried to contact people ove

I would not recommend living here (especially if you live in the building where I am currently and on the top floor). We have been harassed by our downstairs neighbors banging on our ceiling. We own a 7 month old puppy who likes to play fetch and anytime he runs and gets it. They bang on our ceiling no matter the time. It could be 7pm or 1 in the afternoon. They also bang on the ceiling if we simply just drop something on the floor or if my 3 month old is crying. We’ve had issues with other people in the past for certain issues. My boyfriend and I received an email a couple days ago about us parking in the handicap spot which we have never done and no evidence was provided that we ever did it because IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. We recently moved into a Higher Grounds Apartment. There are many aspects of our stay here so far that have made our change from owning a home to apartment dwelling a good experience. We love the layout of our apartment and the furnishings that have made it easy to make it into our own place. The bedrooms are large and we are enjoying the storage closets throughout the apartment. The basement is clean with plenty of space for the laundry as well as personal locked storage rooms. The lamp style lights in the parking lot for each building are not only warm and friendly but also add to safety and night beauty. We already love our neighbors and the quiet atmosphere in our building as well as the complex. There is easy access as well as proximity to services, stores, school and businesses

Have been working with Jasmine to locate an apartment for my Mother that would fit her needs at East Towne apartments. Jasmine has been wonderful in taking time to listen to what is needed and work to find the the best apartment with my Mom’s needs/ requests in mind!! Truly appreciate the open lines of communication and time spent!! If you’re looking for an apartment would highly recommend Jasmine!!

This is not about maintenance at all. The property manager and owner get the 2 stars. I'm being generous with 2. They are unresponsive and like a typical property management company and big landlord, inconsiderate. 2 days ago there was a CO2 leak, which no doubt was the result of their failure to complete proper maintenance in the building. No one ever called us,or even left a note for us. Thanks to the fire department we were notified.We have had no heat or water for the last 2 days during the coldest week in 2024 so far. Single digit temperatures and snow. Unacceptable.
