Hazel Briar Court Apartments

Quite possibly the worst property management I have ever dealt with. We moved in to a 2 bedroom apartment in June of 2024. A few months into the lease, we noticed our electric bills were getting ridiculously expensive and the apartment was not staying warm during the colder month's. Upon submitting a maintenance request, we were told that the furnace/AC were wired incorrectly, causing the AC to turn on every time that the furnace turned on. Basically doubling the energy usage and negating the effects of the furnace. To “fix” this issue they removed the breaker for the AC, preventing it from turning on. Our electric bills continued to increase to over 700 dollars a month during the winter. I noticed that the crawl space under our unit was very warm, so I called maintenance out to check on

Never live there. You'll regret it. They're selling you a cheap tent, and you'll pay about 200 for water a month, as well as high electricity costs. They know they have a problem, but they won't solve it. The manager is aggressive. She demands that you only park cars that are on Hazel's and the owners' account, but her husband parks his university cars there. The apartments stink.

We moved in here from college square and we LOVE it! Michelle at the main office has been nothing but helpful and prompt at responding, same with maintenance. It is clean and well taken care of. We plan to be here for a few years!

We just moved in and are so impressed with the apartment! Everything is brand new, and specifically, Michelle has made sure we have every thing we need. We also really love that there is security, plenty of light, and friendly neighbors. We definitely are looking forward to living in this community.

My son goes to IU so we searched and searched for a place for him. Michelle has been wonderful even txting on the weekends to make sure his move went as easy as possible. We had a slight maintenance issue and Justin had it fixed immediately. As mentioned in previous review, very well lit complex.
