Within the 6 months that I’ve been at Montrose Apartments, I have been followed into my apartment complex and almost into my apartment until I trusted my instincts. I reached out to H2 to let them know I’d been followed and the stalker potentially knew the access code to the building, yet no action was taken. No security cameras in the building. The parking garage is extremely broken and narrow, and you WILL scratch or dent your car (i guarantee you will). The apartments have mold everywhere. One resident almost got carbon monoxide poisoning from the heater. The water will always be yellow/orange before you start the sinks or bathtub. The laundry room washing machines and dryers often do not work and are $2 per cycle. Your feet will turn black as soon as you sign your lease and enter the

This is my honest opinion based on my experience living at Oakmont Apartments after the property was taken over by H2. I lived at Oakmont for 13 years without ever having an issue with any tenant living above me. However, during the three years after H2 took over the property, I spent two of those years dealing with an extremely disruptive, disrespectful, and inconsiderate tenant who lived above me. The constant noise and lack of consideration made it nearly impossible for me to rest or enjoy my apartment. The situation became so unbearable that I had to call the police on multiple occasions, and on one occasion they did respond. I repeatedly reached out to H2 management for assistance, but I was told there was nothing they could do unless they chose to remove the tenant—which they did n

Moved in to my unit about a month ago, everything during the leasing process was great, and the H2 team was so helpful in answering any questions I had. Today I had my first maintenance issue leaving me with no water in my unit. Maintenance was here within the hour and had it fixed by the end of the day. I am so grateful for all of their help and getting my water fixed within the day!

Overall I've had an amazing time living at H2 Irish apartments and highly recommend to anyone that is moving to the Five Points/UAB neighborhood of Birmingham. The view is arguably the best of downtown Birmingham and never gets old. Proximity and convenience of being near anything needed is phenomenal. If any issues arise, the staff at H2 and the maintenance team have always been quick, responsive, and professional!
