Greenfield Apartments

I have lived here for over a year. I enjoy the complex's quiet nature and proximity to Ball Perkins Park. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. The property manager and office staff are helpful and communicate in a timely manner. The only downsides are the laundry room's location (not in each building), the cost of doing laundry, and the lack of central AC (has wall units), but not bothersome enough to detract from my overall rating.

Renters BEWARE! It is a nice from the outside, but if you live on the bottom floor, you will hear EVERYTHING the upstairs people are doing! The hot water heat pipes creak everytime it kicks on and it's loud. The jumping and running of children upstairs because they're is no carpeting, just floor. You can't pay your utilities through them, you have to go to Walmart and get it loaded, which there is a 3.00 fee for that, plus they charge you a administrator fee of 4.00 just to send it to your email! They don't pay any utilities, which I feel is a scam,because alot of places pay for water, trash and sewer. I was told the water pipes there have never been changed over when the City of Grand Rapids advised them to. No wonder the water smells like sewage! Do your research, they are not willing t

Short version: We were happy with the year we were here! good price, property, maintenance, proximity to stores and green space. However, no in unit, laundry, built-in microwave or storage space. Mildew can build up quick if you aren’t careful, and people throw away a lot of stuff. A longer version: The Pros: This place was a good first apartment for us. For me and my husband, one of us is in school, so only one of us is working full-time right now, which means finances are tight. For the price, this place is great. The property is amazing especially if you are tucked in the far back corner like we were. You can look out your windows and see deer almost every day. i have been living at Green field apartment for about 2yrs this place is so nice enviroment to live its very quiet safe and clean the office staff and maintenance are friendly and helpful.

I lived here for 2 years and it was a decent place to live. I did notice the community trending downward in the second year. The apartments do not have central air, but the website says it does. Amenities are minimal. The best part about living here was the maintenance. Roy was always prompt and willing to help. I purchased my own shower head and he was happy to install it. I requested a new air filter and he went above and beyond, washing the filter and replacing it for me.
