Glen Eagle Village Apartments

Great apartment complex. They're doing their best compared to others. Pricing is going up almost everywhere but gave 4 stars due to the increase in rents the last 2 years. Other than that, I'll say it's a good area.

I absolutely love it here. I went to renew my lease two months ago and I saw that they had my favorite plant 🌱 a neon pothos and when I said omg I been looking for this plant the manager and assistant manager both said would you like a cutting and they gave me the cutting. I was so grateful and it touch me that I even name the plant after my mother who passed away. I love the property I always take walks in the community I feel safe. I love my view from my balcony and I just love coming home. I am truly grateful to live here.

Unsafe Conditions and Poor Management!! I lived at Glen Eagle Village Apartments (17 Sandalwood Dr, Newark, DE) and had one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had as a tenant. I reported serious mold and water leak issues multiple times starting in July 2023. Despite repeated emails, photos, and even a county inspection, the management failed to properly fix the problem. The mold kept coming back, and the apartment became unsafe for my family—especially my baby. We were forced to move into a hotel for weeks, even while still paying rent for a place we couldn’t live in. I reached out to management several times, but the only response I received was a promise to move us “when a new unit became available months later.” Ground-floor apartments, especially, have constant leaking and

My experience living here has been terrible. The management team is disrespectful, careless, and doesn’t take residents’ concerns seriously. The building is not clean or healthy to live in — teenagers often smoke in the hallways, and you can sometimes smell weed and other things throughout the building. Any time you have an issue, they won’t provide a real, permanent fix. They only do quick, temporary repairs, and the same problems return within weeks. It’s extremely frustrating. Please don’t be misled by the 5-star reviews. They look suspicious and don’t reflect the reality of living here. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Unfortunately, this was the worst accommodation experience we’ve ever had. We lived in fear because we found a molded spots in the apartment while staying there with my husband and child. We had to leave the place, and after that we asked for compensation for the damages and for another clean apartment, but they did not cooperate with us at all. They wasted our time and our rights. We will never forgive this experience or the way we were treated. I do not recommend this place to anyone.”
