Gateway Place Apartments

If you have other options take them, moving here was a mistake. The apartment is fine for the most part, but in less than a month it’s had two major leaks and I had to learn from a neighbor the last guy moved out because of the office not being able to get a handle on it. The maintenance guys are nice but they seem like they barely know what they are doing. Their “fixes” look so trashy, rushed, and not cared about. The office staff is definitely nice to speak to, but they are kinda lazy it seems like when it comes to things you need them to get done. I’ve called probably about eight times to ask about getting a garage and they keep telling me I’ll call you back this day and I never get a call. This place is an absolute joke. I moved out last year and have lived at a neighboring apartment community since. It’s not even funny. You don’t realize how bad that place really is until you go somewhere where they actually care. The new apartment emailed everybody right before the holidays to make sure everybody’s appliances were working and nobody needed anything fixed to ensure everybody had a good holiday. The year before Gateway knew my apartment was messed up and it completely ruined my Thanksgiving and they couldn’t care less. The new apartment picks all the dog poop up every morning and has preventative measures put in place to keep it under control. Gateway couldn’t care less. The new apartment removes Snow at 6am. I wanted to love this place but it’s been the worst place I’ve ever lived. I moved in the end of 2023. First red flag was the apartment I moved into (1-104) smelled musty and looked like there had been previous water damage. Office staff assured me there wasn’t and that it was fine. Idk if this is related but a month after moving in my daughter had a massive asthma attack. It was so severe that she had to be life flighted to children’s hospital and a week long hospital stay. This has never happened to her before. Idk if it was mold exposure or what. About 2 months in, I came home to my apartment flooded. It was a nightmare. These are beautifully Remodeled Large Apartments that come with a built in Microwave above Electric table Top stoves and State of the art double doored Refrigerator with freezer Drawer quite big as well as Ice Maker a small deep shelf on top and a huge drawer front large capacity for storing lots of frozen foods. They also have newer model stackable washer and dryer in a closet that also houses Hot Water Heater and the Gas Furnace. They have Central Air and Heat which is really nice! The one bedroom I rent

If you have a security deposit you’re not getting that back at all. Even if you left the place clean and didn’t damage anything. I paid $1200 for security deposit but I guess a clean, and a few holes in the walls cost $1200 with an additional $6.83 they made me pay 3 months later. Terrible place, i even had silver fish in my own bathroom. I’ve had ants crawling from my fireplace. Parking is the worst. And Asset of living the company they are with are very rude and don’t help you with a damn thing. So don’t get a place here if possible, Ik time get hard but just keep looking. Gateway do better.
