First Impressions Matter. I showed up ready to rent a unit—wallet out, fully motivated. But the first thing out of Damian Naeem’s mouth? Not “Welcome,” not “How can I help you?” Just: “Nobody’s there. This is a wide-open lot. You need to move your car.” No context, no courtesy. I said, “No problem, I just want to see what unit I’m being shown.” He doubled down: “You need to move your car.” That was it. I got in my car and left. You lost a renter. The approach was all wrong. This could’ve been handled with a simple, respectful tone: “Hey, I totally understand. Would you mind moving your car just a space over? We called in to ask about a unit and got the same guy—Damian Naeem. Right off the bat, his tone was rude and dismissive. No warmth, no effort to help, just short and irritated like we were bothering him. It honestly felt like he was new to the role and trying to overcompensate by acting like he’s running the place. Maybe he hasn’t been there long, but the authority complex is strong. Instead of being helpful or welcoming, he came off as if he was doing us a favor just by picking up the phone. If this is the first impression for prospective tenants, I can’t imagine how he treats people once they’ve signed a lease.
