Exactly like other reviewers have mentioned, after my stay with them they tried to say I caused damages which were already there before my stay. If you use this company take pics of everything or better yet don’t stay with any of their properties. Additionally I scrolled through all airbnb messages, I never got a welcome message asking for me to report damages. Probably because I reached out to them first telling them a few handy man issues that needed attendance at the house as it was vacant for some time before our stay. "Anything less than satisfactory" is a broad statement, instead please specify for your guests to send you any and all minor and major damages or imperfections in the home.
Foothills claimed we caused damage that we in fact did not. We did not damage their screen door, microwave, or stain anything at all. We never even used the microwave, and we found the screen door already damage upon our first arrival - we assumed it was part of the rental. Stain? No. We always treat the rental spaces as if they are our own. I have no problem admitting to a damage in the event I did cause it, but my partner and I know we didn’t. They’re trying to charge us $1200 extra for the aforementioned almost 2 weeks after we left. We have nothing but 5-stars on our Airbnb profile. Zero integrity. Why didn’t they contact us the same or next day we left and ask us about this if the cleaning lady apparently found these new faults the day we left? Do not rent from them directly or throug
My experience with Foothills Property Management was unfortunately very disappointing. After my stay, they withheld $318.44 from my $500 security deposit, citing alleged pet stains in the carpet and a supposed hole in a storage room wall. My dog is a fully trained service animal who does not relieve herself indoors. Despite my request, they could not provide any photographic proof of the stains. They still charged me $125 for the alleged carpet stains alone. As for the hole in the wall, I do not recall any such damage during my stay, and they were unable to prove that the wall wasn’t already in that condition prior to my check-in. I always take great care of the places I stay, and it felt extremely unfair to have such a large portion of my deposit withheld without clear documentation. I
We have used Foothill for the past 27 years and in that time the process of having a remote rental property has been absolutely painless. The fact that after 27 years our property is still pristine says volumes about their ability to assess tenants and maintain a watchful eye on the property. Repairs are handled quickly and in a cost effective manner. Over the years, every person we have dealt with at Foothill has been knowledgeable and a delight to work with. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed with their service..
I have worked with Foothills Property Management, Inc., during the last 10 years and I am very happy and satisfied with their services. I bought a house in Sedona and, as I live in New York, I am unable to manage the property myself, so I rely completely on their help. Staff is very responsive, attentive and friendly. They report on activities regularly and consult on relevant decisions about the property as needed. They help solve situations and keep me inform of what is going on with my tenants. I appreciate greatly their professionalism and support. I have renewed the engagement of their services, as I am a happy costumer.
