Fitz Apartments

I’m a current resident here and wow is this place horrible. ROACHES in the apartments AND in the halls. Half of the laundry machine don’t work despite MULTIPLE maintenance requests put in. NO HOT WATER more often than not. I have to put in a work order AT LEAST once a week for this issue. I never receive follow ups for said maintenance. The list of reoccurring issues here could write a novel. I’ve been here a little over a year, never paid rent late, I keep to myself. The treatment is absolutely disgusting. Do yourself a favor and live literally anywhere else. Needless to say we will not be staying much longer.

They approved us very quickly, our move in date was set we even got our renters insurance paid for and less than one week before they pushed our move in date for the next week and again less than a week before our second time being pushed back they said we wouldn’t be able to move in at all. We had already paid the holding fee. Thank God I didn’t pay the whole amount that was due otherwise I would be stuck waiting for my money back like I am now waiting for my holding and application fee. Waste of our time, we were already super excited and all packed and ready to go and they cancelled super last minute. DO NOT TRUST THEM. You’re better off looking for more reliable people to trust with the process of looking for a new home.

I was quoted a price that was $200 less than it actually was when i arrived to sign the lease. They tried to charge me rent twice in one month. 'lucky for me my book keeping is better than theirs.' Was told the place would be furnished, and it had only a bed, table, and a love seat in it. 'probably just what the last tenant left.' It was dirty upon move in, and being a contract worker had to no vacuum cleaner etc. to even do basic house keeping. If you have any other option at all find something else.

This is a great place to live, have lived here for over 2 years and have had no issues if their is a problem the manager and mantience team are right on it and it gets fixed. Also the manager is a kind caring perason that will be their for you on personal level us much as she can. The building is cleaned and taking care of, and no infestation. Also the area of town is very safe and any issues that arises are quickly handled by local police. So if you are looking for a great place to live you should defiantly check it out!!!

I wish that we had more reviews to look at before having gone to Aurora. Call the police department and ask them about this area and they will tell you what they told us. DO NOT RENT HERE! They will tell you to look South of Mississippi Ave. The people associated with the apartment are nice but it's a very rough area and it's worth going another 5 miles until the area is cleaned up in the next few years hopefully.
