Started off good as one of the builders that let us do some of the work ourselves and dealt with some headaches with the county for us. Was going ok until they had a bigger project start, then resources were pushed to that instead of finishing our house. We moved in at beginning of January, still didn't have AC hooked up in July. No one put a cap on the chimney during construction so rain came in and damaged drywall. They "forgot" to pay a sub that tried to put a lien on our house. Electrician hit our septic drain line and power line going to the holding tank when trenching in power to the detached garage. Instead of fixing it correctly, they put in a piece of corrugated (perforated!) pipe and taped up the wires. Wasn't discovered by us until years later but 1st Choice won't even return e

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! The remodel job of 2 bathrooms cost $40k and took 9 months to complete. Now the shower that didn’t leak before leaks. It is ruining the walls in adjacent rooms! I already paid for my own plumber to come tell me it’s not the plumbing. The tile is leaking because of poor installation job. I have been in contact with them about this since October. They came and cut holes in my walls in January and have not been back to fix anything. They have basically told me they don’t have to do anything because it’s no longer under warranty, yet I told them it’s been leaking since day 1! Now they just left me hang and no contact with me for months. Bad people and bad business!

Built with this company and they weren’t able to build to the plan specs and had to change the design of the home mid construction. Poor job of insulation.
