First American Title seriously delayed and negatively impacted our experience closing on our first home. We were constantly having to follow up to ensure things were done correctly and were happening on time or it would not have happened. Numerous mistakes on the paperwork and in filing were made that caused large inconveniences on our part- making up for the mistakes on their end. It was extremely frustrating and an unprofessional experience. No efforts were made to remedy our experience and the ball was dropped over and over again. There was no accountability or acknowledgment of the mistakes made- Courtney has been extremely hard to contact and communicate with. Very unpleasant experience. Escrow officer Tracy Jones was very rude and abrupt. She has very poor communication skills. Made me feel uncomfortable after asking for help to explain what I was signing as if I should already understand. She Never answered the phone or emails. Our lender officer had to make multiple attempts via email to get information from her. Documents were incorrect after already fixing them once. 3 weeks after closing I got a phone call from her demanding that I owe them more money for a mistake she made without explanation or an apology.

Truly abysmal experience. Living somewhere like Ridgecrest, CA with limited options companies like this are lucky that the consumers do not have choices. Absolutely no communication through the process, not until the realtor called to check up in advance did anything even get remembered. I had to deal with several bills after the fact because the Escrow Officer thoroughly failed to make sure everything was taken care of. Home owners insurance was always taken care of escrow, I started to receive bills 3 months later and the insurance company was giving me trouble about dealing with things retroactively. I reached out to the office by phone and email, and was not surprised when as usual I received NO response. In a state as overburdened with regulations as California, it’s sad there is not

We will always use First American Title Company as our first choice from now on. We had the privilege of working with Tracy Jones who was right on top of every issue & getting us the most out of our refinance loan. She is an efficient & professional worker who shows how much she cares about her company's clients. The front desk was also very nice. Ann & Mike Leffler

Tracy Jones seems overburdened. She doesn't seem to be able to give files much attention or provide great customer service. Files don't seem to be handed off carefully when someone is out of office, resulting in missing deadlines. Other people I worked with at this office were nice and helpful.
