FerndaleHaus Luxury Loft Living

Great place to live, especially if you have dogs! One of the biggest reasons I chose FerndaleHaus is their pet policy. Finding a decent place to live with amenities in the Ferndale Area that allows two larger dogs is rare. If offered at all, most places allow one or a very restricted weight limit. Here, both of my chocolate labs are welcome, and they've loved living here as much as I have (after a huge life change for them and me!). The dog yard is modest in size, but fenced in and actually exists. There's a waste receptacle that's usually kept clean. It'd be nice if bags were provided, but that's hardly a deal breaker. Lived here for almost 4 years before leaving 6 months ago. There was 3 different management teams during that time with mixed levels of success. However, the most recent team with Charlene was great so that boosts my review to 4 stars. Overall the best part is the great location. Everything else is just okay, from the hallways to the interior and exterior facade, its just your standard "modern luxury" apartment building. 3 stars for the place, 4 stars for the management team, 5 stars for the location!

This has been far and above my best living experience in any apartment complex (ESPECIALLY compared to one building only two blocks away with only slightly cheaper rent). Charlene and the other front desk/leasing agents are so helpful and always so nice and you can tell truly care about their residents' living experience and take the time at the very least become familiar with you. I've never had any issues with anything, anything minor was swiftly taken care of and they're EXTREMELY proactive in terms of communication both individually and for the building regarding any potential minor disturbances like window washing or carpet cleaning. I'm glad they allow pets, but very disappointed with their subjective non-negotiable list of "aggressive dog" breeds that aren't allowed. At the very least, I think if an owner can show evidence of extensive training and socialization (e.g. American Kennel Society's good citizen certification), I think there should be some flexibility.

I have lived at FerndaleHaus for over 2 years now. I absolutely love living here and I hope to be here for years to come! My favorite part about living here is the leasing agent, Charlène and the manager, Aurora. The management of this building has truly fostered a wonderful community atmosphere and encourages residents to meet each other and make friends. Charlène and Aurora are rays of sunshine for Ferndale and I always enjoy seeing them in the office!
