Emberwood Apartments

We loved staying here. Our lease was for 1 year, would have renewed but my job moved to St Paul so we decided to relocate. They had a party room, free coffee, a game room but no swimming pool. We rented the 2 bed 2 bath sienna, which was so roomy for 2 people. Especially loved the master bath. The 2nd guest bedroom was super small, more for storage. The queen bed took up 2/3 of the guest room. Bonus for in unit laundry, and central air. Appliances were all new, very modern and all the cabinetry were updated. The walls were not thin like older apartments, we only heard our neighbors next door/ same floor when we were walking thru the halls. Neighbors are loud and disruptive sometimes, but the staff are very kind and prompt when it comes to nouse complaints. Neighbors overfill the garbages and are very disrespectful to the complex and the staff by doing so. The staff is great, though. Maintenance is quick in my experience. They are understanding when it comes to parking. They just renovated the common room and it looks great! The mailboxes are now inside the building (previously in the doorway) in a now convenient location. The renovations took a while, but it was worth the wait. Overall, a great place to stay aside from the disrespectful and disruptful neighbors. There's only so much you can do about other people, though. When we moved in, our washing machine was broken. The maintenance team at Emberwood solved our issue immediately and installed a brand new washing machine for us! Our maintenance guy was super friendly and very understanding of our concerns. He is very professional and we are looking forward to living here.

Took a few days to get things fixed also put an order in for the dryer which never got fixed or never acknowledged when they would be coming back to fix it

This review is to acknowledge the work of the new property manager Katrina Johnson. Since stepping in, Katrina has been proactive with enforcing expectations for tenants regarding property rules. Katrina has done a great job at communicating expectations as well as giving friendly and detailed updates regarding changes at the Emberwood apartments. My family has never rented before and we have been at Emberwood for ten months. We appreciate the efforts to hold everyone accountable to the rules and expectations set by the property. We hope to see improvements in pet waste accountability as well as trash and recycling disposal. Keep up the great work Katrina!
