El Sereno Apartments

Cozy and homey apartment community I can’t express enough how much I loved this community. I lived there for about four years and truly miss the atmosphere. The manager, Sonia, the administrative staff, and the maintenance team were all amazing. The neighbors were also super friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an apartment in this area. Below is my honest opinion: Pros: Located between Claremont and La Verne, with easy access to both downtown areas. There are many lovely shops and great restaurants nearby. Cons: Summers can get very hot due to the valley location. However, I had air conditioning, and most of the time it was not a problem. Completed my first year living here. Gotta say I'm so happy with this place!!! Community is kept clean. There's an Amazon locker here. Neighbors are kind, and those who have pets are responsible and pick up after their pets. The area is surprisingly quite! Pool, laundry room, and bbq grill are nice. Parking is great. The unit itself is a bit dated, but for the price compared to previous renting experiences, I am content. Would not be thrilled to pay more. Location is great. Within 5 mile radius are grocery stores, Claremont village, 2 freeways (10fwy / 210fwy) restaurants, and gas stations. MOST IMPORTANTLY - management is genuinely great. Today, I received mail from debt collectors coming at me for an electric bill El Sereno failed to pay after I had already paid my account in full upon move out 4 YEARS AGO. Two separate account numbers are listed from Professional Credit Service in the notice I received and one belongs to El Sereno. While living at El Sereno, I was constantly harassed by a “porter” (that’s what the office called her), my car was vandalized while parked in my marked parking space on the property to the point of my auto insurance deeming it a total loss, the office was deplorably unhelpful and unprofessional. I constantly felt unsafe and was stalked by their employee. Upon move in at El Sereno , I was told there were security guards. There were not. They still occasionally accidentally email me as well. Management is the worst I don’t recommend. No one to rent here I know I regret it cheap stoves refrigerators everything is cheap mirrors in the bathroom spend your money somewhere else or stay where your at for now! While you find a better place, and I have spoken to management, they do not do anything about certain issues like I said before avoid this place don’t bother, i so regret renting here these apartments have so many issues with them being out of date I have spoken with other tenants and we have the same opinion about this place management doesn’t do anything until things break or it’s been a while since your request for someone from maintenance to come and take a look at the problem, they still have the nerve to want to blame you what ever the issue is because of all the outdated

Nice apartments. However, they are priced out of my budget. Beautifully landscaped, well maintained grounds, and good management. A great place to live, IF you can afford $2000 per month plus utilities for a 1 br. Apartment. I certainly cannot afford the price.
