Echota Resort

Nothing but positive things to say about this place. It was AWESOME! Very clean, and new. Had a lot of cool places to hangout at the resort, including some scenic areas. Wish they would open up the resident pool for guests as well though. But I would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Conveniently located between Boone and Banner Elk. Our balcony view included Grandfather Mountain! Quick drive to restaurants and shopping. Security staff member was quick to assist us upon arrival to get water turned on to unit. Beautiful pool facility! 1st class in every way!

Very nice, nostalgic of how my house looked in 1990. Unfortunately it's very loud, not a cabin in the woods feel. At 7pm I've heard constant loud small gas engine whine, sirens are a plenty too.

We love this resort and recommend it to everyone wanting to visit the Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk area. It's central location makes it ideal, with great restaurants and attractions less than 20 minutes away in any direction. We've stayed in both a house and a condo at Echota, and both far surpassed our expectations! The amenities are great too, with onsite fishing and pools (indoor and outdoor). But the real fun is just exploring the expansive property itself and keeping an eye out for wildlife.

I'm torn because this gorgeous place used to be wild and now the mountainsides are being densely developed and trees cleared for views. But dang it is the most beautiful place to stay and everything is so well designed and constructed. And the clubhouses and outdoor pool overlook all of it and are top notch. It commands high rental prices for good reason. The landscaping and upkeep are perfect. Lovely place to stay, convenient to Boone and Grandfather Mountain etc.
