Douglaston Villas

Been here for about 7 months and I absolutely love it! The neighborhood is quiet and rarely here anything through the walls. The buildings were built in the 80s so they are a little old in terms of design, but I don't mind plain cabinet doors. I have had little issue with maintenance, they have been very helpful and on the ball with any issue I have reported. The worst issue I had was when I first moved in the AC was not working properly which caused my electric to be high. It took about 2 weeks to get the AC fixed, but they loaned me a window unit and it was fine. Unfortunately, I fear new management may has gotten rid of that mainteance team though. We'll see if this review changes over the next few months.

My boyfriend and I have been so happy and pleased with Douglaston. They made it so easy to find and fall in love with our first home! With new renovations and the luxury modern look I was immediately obsessed. The staff has been friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. They answered all my questions clearly and made what can be a stressful process feel smooth and easy. I’m really happy with my new place and appreciate how professional and welcoming Douglaston has been to us. Highly recommend!

It’s been a horrible experience. Since day 1. Here are the list of things that were wrong the day I moved in. (which I know I’m probably missing some) Dishwasher does not work Laundry door fell off when I opened it Only hot water in kitchen, zero cold water Bathroom sink doesn’t work No way to plug drain in bathroom Mold in the back of the toilet Toilet paper holder is the incorrect size. Light in kitchen is missing a piece in the corner. Drawer pulls missing They just finished all these up halfway into the month. Now onto the next thing. I moved in this apartment with white countertops. I was told they were going to come and redo them and they would be the same color. Wrong. They painted them a completely different color. Someone can be back out painted again to the correct color. But t

This is the worst complex I have ever dealt with they will claim you never called they don’t return your calls. They will tell you you didn’t even leave a message. I am trying to pay my rent. There is no pay button on the rent portal. Goldelm management company is the worst company I have ever with. Maybe somebody will return my call so I can pay my rent by leaving this review because they don’t return your call any other way and the contact information on their portal is not even valid. The phone number rings once and hangs up. The lady’s name provided is not even a name or a person that was working in the management company when I started renting this unit as a matter of fact, most of the people are no longer with the company Their turnover rate is outrageous Where are you?

Cannot get the air conditioner fixed after multiple maintenance requests. The electricity bills have been sky high and it is hotter in our apartment than it is outside. The a/c unit constantly freezes over no matter what temperature setting we put it at and maintenance comes out, says they will be back later to fix something else and then days and weeks go by with nothing until we report the problem again. They have already had to patch a hole in the coat closet due to the a/c unit leaking through but have no tfixed the a/c to prevent another a hole to form caused by the leaky unit. The a/c is an insufficient size for a 3 bedroom apartment, there are no ceiling fans to at least alleviate some of the discomfort, and there is no way to open the window in the master bedroom to at least let th
