Douglas Realty Property Management

I am a current tenant of Douglas and I have rented from them for over 7 years in the same home. They have managed to keep our rent as reasonable as possible and have always worked with us in any situation. I believe the property owner of this home truly cares. They have always been as quick as possible to send out a tech with any issues. Just want to say how much we appreciate the Lehigh Acres team!!!!

Please pay attention as costs rise. Worked with this company for several years. My recent experience is exactly as follows. My father had a medical injury in early 2024. We decided on February of 2025 to shift agencies (transitioned in March) because rentals were sitting on the market for 4+ months. Inspections were not occurring in reasonable turnaround as well. Moreover tenants who left, left a high balance of $4k+. While there were payment arrangements, no update/notifications regarding actual follow-through on those payments or lack their of payments. In the end, they moved out with high balances and units that needed turnover at much higher costs than their security deposit. The hardest truth of the matter is I had a tenant who was self-managed. Douglas property management has been managing my property for YEARS. Their service is Top Notch. Donna and the team are just amazing. I could not ask for a better management team. I’ve dealt with other management companies in the past. With Douglas there’s no comparison. They are the best in the area.

Douglas has managed a rental of mine in North Port since 2009 after they took over my account from a company that did not survive the real estate crisis of that time. We have stuck by them though all the ups and downs of the market, the hurricane and staff and market changes. Port Charlotte has its own office headed by Elissa who is fabulous! We were able to renovate our property from Kansas after hurricane Ian! This included new roof, bathroom remodeling and paint. There were times communication took some time but staffing is responsive and on the ball. Unlike many companies, Douglas is a local family business not a national chain so they really know the market at the local level not from a distance. I would have given up on long distance ownership if not for Douglas!

I'm terribly disappointed in the negative reviews. It appears as though the property management company takes the hit for what the homeowner decides is best for their property."which is out of Douglas Realty's hands" I have experienced NOTHING but professionalism, kindred spirits, understanding and PHENOMENAL service from everyone in the Lehigh Office. Jen, Christine, Fabi and Rosi, You are Amazing and dealing with you has been a pleasure. You Rock! Keep doing what your doing, you've been my little families blessing for over 4yrs!!
