Dorset Commons Apartments

I mean, they're not terrible. There's a pool and the lots get plowed and salted. But they're not cheap and they're insanely outdated. Really ancient appliances. UPDATE: Nevermind, they are terrible. Last winter our heater was found to have a crack in it by maintenance, so they turned the heat off......for a week and a half. My roommate called and complained until they brought us over a couple of space heaters (one of which ended up being broken) after one full week of calling and being ignored. That's right, we had no heat for a week during a Vermont winter. Oh, and if you think they gave us discounted rent for the month, think again. Avoid with extreme prejudice.

I lived in this complex for 18 years. When Gisela and Ralph owned the property, everything was taken care of and the neighborhood was a safe, clean and excellent place to live. Unfortunately, the property was bought in July of 2018 by Champlain Housing Trust. Ever since Champlain Housing Trust took over, they fail to take care of the property completely! They’ve allowed drug dealers, addicts and gang members in the complex which has made it very unsafe and unclean. This complex has gone from a middle class, well maintained and safe neighborhood to the projects over night. The only thing Champlain Housing cares about is money and you keeping your mouth shut. DO NOT EVER RENT FROM CHAMPLAIN HOUSING TRUST!!!!!

Apartments that are horribly mismanaged by the slumlords Ralf and Giselle Veve. Someone should look into this and litigate them. Horrible situation where the latino owners are absolutely racist against non-whites, charge them higher rent, don't service their units, or cut the same slack as to white renters come rent time. Absolutely despicable self-hating uncle Tom latinos. When toilet broke they recommended a poop bucket per conditions in the developing world, which this clearly is not! Never fixed dishwasher that was included with unit. It's very clear the limited times when they're in the office by the gaudy Cadillacs and Mercedes they drive (not enough left over to fix units!).

Everyone is very kind here , they fix stuff efficiently, I really love living here , all around it's been a good experience

If I could leave this place zero stars I would,Problem number one this apartment is listed as low income which it is not,another HUD swamp that concentrates poor families in bad area's only accepting section 8,in so many words they will try there best to not fix anything and dare not have any renovations to keep the project as poor looking as possible to only attract those who can't find anything else and there voucher is soon to expire.HUD scams in vermont are out of control.This place looks dangerous especially for children,I'm sure they have lots of constructive evictions from there horrific management,news flash if vermont has a race problem than stop being greedy and accepting money to build new housing in this area,and accepting witness protection from other states and they will stop
