Dogwood Lakes Apartments

My oldest son just flew the nest and got his first apartment. Dogwood Lakes is a clean, safe, and, most importantly, affordable option for apartment living. My kiddo is renting a single bedroom unit, and while it is on the small side, it has everything he needs, including an in unit washer and dryer! With the average rent in the area being over $900, I am really pleased he was able to find a place for $660, which he is able to afford. That rent also gets him access to a pool and gym! From the time he paid his deposit till when he was able to move in, it was a 3 month wait, but it was worth it. You can be kicked out of this place in a matter of seconds with little to no warning. I personally know a woman with children who was forced to leave within just three days. Her teenage son has autism and, like many children on the spectrum, he occasionally experiences meltdowns. Instead of showing understanding, patience, or compassion, management treated the situation as a violation and removed her family. There is absolutely no empathy here, especially for families with children or anyone with special needs. On top of that, you are discouraged from having anything delivered to you because management will accuse delivery drivers of living with you, creating unnecessary stress and fear. Fast Maintenance, decent landscaping, a few things for the kids to do outside all at a decent price. The apartments aren't the most up to date but maintenance makes sure all appliances and ac/heat are working so it's difficult to complain.

The complex filed an eviction on my now husband almost 4 years ago, it was never completed as he did make the payment and continued to live there for another year. It has been on his tenant record that he was evicted (when it is not the case) and they refuse to allow him to speak to anyone who can remove, will not respond to emails, and have been completely unprofessional about the situation. It has hindered us in being about to get approved for a home, and quite frankly I wouldn’t recommend anyone living here. Run far away from this establishment.

I absolutely love living here. So well kept and maintained. And friendly ducks galore. Tasha and Will have really shaped this place up, and are super helpful and friendly. Quick, efficient maintenance staff. I've lived here 8 years and I highly recommend this place. So convenient, too...there are like 5 restaurants, a Kroger,, and an Academy sports across the street and a Sonic adjoins the property. Review by Jason Masters.
