Diamond Pointe Apartments

Scheduled a showing. Called me 15 min before to reschedule because of weather… I find this extremely unprofessional, as I moved my schedule around to be able to make it to the originally scheduled showing. You are not a school!!! Businesses do not shut down because of weather, especially a flurry in Central PA. If the kids are in school you should have not issue getting in your car and driving 10 minutes.

The only other review listed is absolutely correct. Unfortunately this is the ONLY decent apartment complex in the entire area to live in. The owner knows it. The rent is excessive for the space. We rented the furnished option and were told the bedding was new. Lie. When we moved out we disposed of the bedding and later were charged for new bedding. They use the old mattress, and bedding! Gross. They also charged over $500 to clean the apartment. What a joke. (We discovered an old cable box remote stuffed in the recliner) I personally cleaned the apartment and took pictures to prove I left the apartment in excellent condition. These apartments are relatively new for Williamsport, PA but are overpriced with greedy owners. Every year when your lease is up fro renewal, the monthly rent increases along with the the water/sewer bill which if paid directly to the owners. The apartments are supposedly smoking free but a tenant below me smoked in his apartment and the smoke came into my apartment through the bathroom vent. I have asthma and really caused me to have breathing problems. I complained numerous times to the owners and they said nothing could be done even though it states clearly in the lease NO SMOKING? Weird...that nothing could be done because they did not want to lose the monthly income. I actually moved out of this place in 2013, and my wife and I randomly were talking about our experiences at different places and while reading the reviews was disheartened to see that the ownership group hadn't changed their shady ways. We were the first tenants in our particular apartment and were excited to find a decent place in Williamsport having relocated from NY for my job. After 8 months, I was asked to relocate to Philly and paid these guys two months of rent to leave early. My wife spent 2-3 days cleaning the place in order to leave it spotless so imagine my shock when I received a bill for $600+ IN ADDITION to taking my $1650 security deposit. My husband and I moved into Diamond Pointe in 2016 with hesitation after reading negative reviews. We decided to set those aside and make the move. We wish that we hadn't. Diamond Pointe, while clean and conveniently located, has nothing else to offer. Michelle was impossible to get in touch with when you had concerns or questions. I had to repeatedly reach out just to get a simple response. Upon leaving, after being there for nearly 3 years, we cleaned for an entire weekend so we had better chances of getting our deposit back. Don't bother. I find it ignorant and ridiculous how WE are responsible for paying for the carpets to be cleaned for the next tenants. How is this our problem? Diamond Pointe is just simply too cheap.
