Grampian Hills Apartments

They don't emphasize that this is a smoking apartment when I called about renting here and on apartments.com it didn't say smoke-free but in my ten years of renting I have never heard of a smoking apartment (I've lived in WV, CO, and now PA). It's not even verbiage on their website. So if someone wants to indulge their nicotine addiction to the worst (and creepiest) extent you've ever experienced, you have a lost year of an overpriced unit you loathe being at. Beyond the exterior, I don't even feel a sense of safety inside my apartment. I had plumbing, appliance, and electrical issues. Sure maintenance can come and fix things, but there's been a lot to fix and it's exhausting. The electrical was especially terrifying because my walls were audibly buzzing even when I wasn't running direct

The photos listed here must have been put up by management. My apartment has a washer and dryer in my tiny kitchen, the bathroom's tub and fixtures are from the 1970's when my building was built, and there are certainly no glass shower doors - just a rod for a shower curtain. My view from all windows are of 2 parking lots with views of the garbage dumpsters in full view. The ground has huge patches of dirt so dry that grass or anything can't grow. I can go on and on... One thing I will say that is nice about living here is that it is quiet and noise rarely travels between apartments.

My dryer died suddenly with a load of clothes in it and another load in the washer. I didn’t know how to classify that problem ie emergent/non emergent. It was a Friday so I called and hoped it could be addressed- when I spoke to Stephanie she classified it as priority - the maintenance men arrived and determined that it could not be repaired and the plan was to switch out for a new one. I was a former home owner and that kind of problem would’ve ruined my day. All of the Grampian staff were beyond expectation and I’m still shocked by the response.

The response from Maintainence staff is one of the main benefits of living at Grampian Hills Apartments. They promptly address repairs, are courteous, and even assist with special requests such as clearing ice and snow from sudden storms. Office staff relay concerns quickly.
