Daycroft Apartments

I lived there for two years. They found black mold in the apartment underneath us (underneath our bedroom) and all they did was clean it and paint over it. Management didn't tell us anything. We found out through our neighbors. I made a complaint of black mold in our bathroom and the super came into my apartment without my permission when I wasn't home. I then put in a complaint because I had footage proof of him entering illegally and they told me I could move out and get my security back. I looked for a new apartment for months and then when I finally found one they said I couldn't get my security back. Very unprofessional property, the garbage is always full and they are quick to take your money and never return your security deposit. "Najwa Deeb with Empire Realty Corp" is the worst person to contact when resolving issues or asking when you will get your security deposit back as her response is always "I will check with the attorneys and get back to you" then she ignores you and wont pick up your calls. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND SANITY BY NOT MOVING TO THIS PROPERTY AS THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL NEVER HEAR BACK FROM THEM!! I would have given negative 100 starts if I can.

Absolutely terrible complex to live in, if I could give it 0 stars I would. They will absolutely keep your security deposit without any explanation why. Najwa is a terrible property manager; I had a maintenance ticket out for over 6 months for a broken heater. No one ever fixed it and, when I brought it up as unsafe, they deleted my maintenance ticket from the app. Our neighbor's 3 dogs barked nonstop all day, every day and Najwa didn't do anything. DO NOT LIVE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The new property owners as of 2022, Empire Realty and Najwa the property manager, are unprofessional, unresponsive, and greedy. I moved out 7/31/23 and my security deposit still has not been returned. My rent was raised $660 in one year without any upgrades to the apartment. The complex is loud and dirty, the dumpsters are always overloaded. The apartments are not updated as the website states as well. This is the same apartment complex that was on channel 12 last year for unlawfully and egregiously raising their rent prices, causing tenants of over 20 years to move out. Save your money and look elsewhere, they’re not worth the headache. You can get a much better apartment for that price in Stamford/Fairfield County.

That laundry room is always dirty and machines not working properly. A lot problems in the apartment and never come to fix it. The garbage is everywhere and full .
