Called about a rental with Danny hood. He heard what my current rent was and instantly said “well this is more than that so how do you plan to afford it?” I told him I could easily pay between me and my boyfriend. I don’t work (pending disability) but I do have income and my boyfriend is self employed but he brushed me off. Mind you I have no bills but rent currently and could easily provide any statements to him but he never even asked. Just said “I’ll think about it” then never spoke to me again. I 100% felt like I was discriminated against due to my pending disability and lower income DESPITE the ability to afford the home in question l. I have rented from them for going on 10 months now. My experience with them has been horrible! Not only did they charge me 4 months up front (and not even tell my landlord how much they collected from me) but the process of renting the house was horrible as well as my stay in the residence. It took them 4 weeks to get back to me on if I was approved to move in the house (which the landlord was unaware of). I called and called and was told they are busy for 4 weeks. They try to swindle every penny out of you and do not communicate the finances with the home owner. Danny Hood himself is extremely disrespectful. I made an offer on a house he had for sale. He never told me that it was in a high flood area. I only found out that this house was in a high flood area when I called about home owners insurance. I was told it would cost over $2,000 a year for flood insurance ONLY. Home owners insurance wasn't included in that price. Danny called n told me he found flood insurance for the house for $600 a year. But when I called about the flood insurance Danny told them to only insure the house for $25,000 n contents at $10,000. So if the house was a total loss the most insurance would pay would be $35,000. After that, I lost all trust in him. He's not looking out for his buyers, he's looking to line his pockets. Okay I'm going to give it to you straight if you're a new renter or don't have rental history that can be verified you're probably going to have to pay a double deposit. But it is well worth it I have not had a single problem that has not been immediately addressed. This is a very professional and dedicated rental agency. I was having a problem and they had someone out the same day to take care of it. They are very fair and very courteous. They have been a pleasure to work with through the process of getting my rental. So if you are in Goldsboro looking for a place to rent I would not only suggest but highly recommend you try them first.

I attempted to list a house with this firm and from the beginning it was a mess. It took several days for the first reply. Then the secretary sent me the documents to sign that were wrong. I requested new documents and she said just sign the ones we had and she would white it out. I declined and asked for them to send me new documents over something that would work with an eletronic signature. The secretary didn't know how to use it but sent some sort of request and it didn't work. I created a Google drive folder for her and shared the content.
