NO. NO safety. NO deal. While this building needs extensive work; I am grateful to have a home with wonderful neighbors. The park is a fabulous draw. Yet, the property's potential is unrealized--it is a below average property. Equitable rent is absolutely no more than the average for a 1 bedroom in Culpeper ($1,326). NO Internet or TV. In building 414, unit 104, the only media outlet is in the corner that floods repeatedly. No electronics should be placed here. NO secure deliveries. There is no on-site office or management. NO rent drop box. There is no on-site office or management. NO maintenance, NO repair, NO replacement.
For the last four years, I've lived at Culpeper Lofts in Unit 108B. I moved from the midwest mid Covid and had a very difficult time finding living accommodations. Of all the apartments I contacted, most never returned my calls. This has never been the case with the Lofts. Christine, the building manager, has always gone above and beyond to make sure that the units, buildings, and grounds are in good condition and everything is in proper working order. Just after the end of my first year, my dryer died. I called Christine, and within the week, a new dryer had been delivered and installed while I was at work. This has always been the standard. If something was wrong, I reached out, and it was taken care of. I feel so fortunate that I was able to live in a community where any I concerns I
Unit A103 Review. I lived at Culpeper Lofts for two and a half years, and my experience was extremely disappointing from both a health and safety standpoint. These apartments have so much potential under the right ownership and management. When I moved in during April 2023, everything seemed fine at first. But starting in May 2024, major issues began to appear. On May 25, 2024, my partner and I discovered heavy mold growth in our closet, which forced us to throw away nearly $1,000 worth of clothing and shoes. I reported it immediately through TenantCloud, and management provided a dehumidifier. Since that day, I’ve had to run it 24/7 just to keep moisture under control. By the fall of 2024, I began experiencing recurring sinus infections, chest tightness, and respiratory issues. My docto
My time at Culpeper Lofts was overall a wonderful experience. I lived at the property for three years and truly enjoyed my space there. Each unit was unique as well as the character of the building. The area itself is beautiful, with plenty of access to green spaces/trails and down the street from plenty of shops and restaurants. That said, although many aspects of the property have been restored and renovated, the buildings are historic which does come with some issues. The units can be difficult to heat/cool during the more intense summer and winter months which can ultimately lead to a higher utility bill. There have been leaks during heavy rainfall, however, maintenance has contracted a number of repairs to address the issue. The property manager was incredibly responsive and resolved
Culpeper Lofts is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Culpeper. From the moment you step onto the beautifully landscaped grounds, you can feel the care and thought that went into restoring this historic property. The blend of industrial charm and modern comfort is flawless—exposed brick, high ceilings, polished concrete and hardwood floors, and sleek appliances make each unit feel like a boutique retreat. The location is unbeatable: just a short stroll to shops, restaurants, and nature trails, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I especially love the pet-friendly vibe and the secure, well-maintained common areas. The fact that it’s housed in the old Power and Water Works buildings adds a layer of character you just don’t find in cookie-cutter apartments. Management is
