I'm so happy I found the pros at Cross Country Mortgage, LLC in Fairfield, CT. I was helping my elderly mother sell her house and buy something smaller and affordable on her fixed income. I called Cross Country and spoke with Matt Judson. Matt was very understanding from the beginning and very knowledgeable about the type of purchase we were thinking about making. When we found the first property that we were trying to buy, Matt jumped into operation and had a Pre-approval letter to us in absolutely no time! The seller would'nt show us the property unless we provided that letter and Matt went above and beyond to get it completed and over to us even after business hours. Although we didn't work with Jay directly, he checked in regularly and even sent thoughtful gifts. Jeff stood out with his quick communication and helpfulness throughout the process. Quoted a conforming refi at 6.375% with ~$9k in fees, producing about $45/month in real savings and a multi-decade break-even — worse than a jumbo offer. The headline payment reduction reflected the lower loan balance, not meaningful rate improvement. Once you do the math, the economics fall apart. Strongly recommend calculating savings and break-even yourself before proceeding.

I had a really disappointing experience with CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC. Cole Fleeher, the loan officer, ran my credit twice for a loan, knowing we weren’t going to get a mortgage. He just wanted to make money for himself. He assured me everything would be okay, but all he had to do was run the numbers without affecting my credit. Now my credit score has dropped, and I'm being told I can't get a mortgage because my income isn't high enough. I wouldn't recommend working with him at all.

My husband and I recently bought our first home with Cross Country and the process was great. Jay, John, Cindy, Liz, and Heather were all the people we were in contact with and they were extremely helpful and professional. Jay was always reachable and willing to answer even the smallest questions (and, as first time homebuyers, we had a bunch of questions). Our closing process was quick, efficient, and painless. Couldn't ask for a better experience!
