Cove Apartments

I moved from Tennessee to Minnesota in May of 2024 and the Cove was always top of the list of apartments I looked at online. They were kind enough to do a full over the phone video tour before moving in and it sealed the deal for us! It is truly a beautiful downtown apartment building close to many places! We even spent several evenings in the community room playing pool. The location at the bottom of the hill is perfect and you can even see Lake Superior from the sky bridge. My favorite thing about living here was being able to enjoy all the downtown views. We loved walking to Canal Park to enjoy the lake walk and eat at some of the best restaurants. Honestly, when I first moved into this apartment the management was AWFUL and you were lucky if you ever got a call back from the manager on site. At that time, I would’ve given a 2 star review back then too. HOWEVER, ever since Shiprock has taken over management, it has been SO much better. They are so responsive and helpful with whatever is needed. I have had some problems w/ things in the past and they always get back to me the same day. I truly do love this apartment, I am on the Cove II 5 W building which is newer than across the street. Halls are pretty much always quiet, on some rare occasions I can hear my neighbors but it’s fairly sound proofed. Yes, downtown is noisy, especially being right off Lake Ave. But that is something to be expected when you live downtown. I have had 0 co

This is one of the best places to live in Duluth! Not just because of the location and amenities, but *especially* because the property managing team of Amy + Kevin is unrivaled! Amy definitely makes sure any leasing questions are answered right away and is always willing to work with me. Kevin, oh my gosh, I've never had such a consistent and responsive on-site manager like him. Truly, the man is such a hard worker and a huge reason why I recommend The Cove to anyone I know lookin' for a place. They deserve all the stars!

I have lived at Cove for about a year now, and have since renewed my lease for another 12 months. Management is on point, property is clean and well maintained, communication has been thorough with no real issues. Would recommend!

Reading other people’s reviews, I was nervous about Cove Apartments, but I decided to tour the building and eventually apply for an apartment. I have been here for a few months and have been fortunate to have an incredibly positive experience. The application process was easy, people in management are communicative, kind/approachable, and respond to emails quickly (within a few hours), and maintenance requests have been resolved efficiently. Amy, the property manager, has been great and is easy to reach; she responds to inquiries within the day. The units are beautiful too, and worth the price relative to the location and other comparable apartment complexes.
