Country Club Village

I am a current resident of Country Club Village North. First I want to start off by saying how nice the complex is. We love the area and the space and would love to stay here. However, we moved in last November and since January we’ve had constant leaks and issues. Three times our basement flooded and we were told it was coming from the window. No one wanted to believe us that it was coming from the wall except one staff member who was helpful and advocated for us. Finally, that was fixed in March after we captured video of the water coming through the wall. Then, more issues with water along our back wall in the basement kept occurring. I’ve asked about solutions and the current solution has been to add more dirt to our balcony to hope it will stop the leaks from going into the basemen

Earlier today, I was speaking with Jim, the superintendent of the complex, regarding an issue with my apartment involving raccoons on the roof. While we were discussing this matter, an older gentleman ( term used loosely) driving a white truck with a black utility box pulled up and abruptly began addressing Jim. To my surprise, his tone toward Jim was extremely hostile and disrespectful. I found this behavior both shocking and unprofessional. If an employee or co-worker has concerns with a colleague, it would be far more appropriate to address them privately and calmly, rather than interrupting another conversation and escalating matters so publicly. Lived here for over 7 years. The only issue is parking there is no assigned parking and after working 16 hour shifts it’s aggravating not to be-able to park in front of your place when it’s dark especially for the amount of rent I pay. Also country club side is maintained much better than Riverside far as the lawn and appearance so if you had to choose go over there.

Positives: rent compared to the area, large units, Maintenace staff is nice, lots of laundry rooms*, very easy to get to major highways Negatives: 1. Nasty leasing office staff who are VERY unprofessional. During the process, they were shouting on the phone, at each other, etc. Overall very rude. DEMAND to see the actual unit youll be renting- they told us the unit certain things only to walk in and find it entirely different. The man in the main office was very demeaning when we requested to switch to what was promised, saying we either had to break the lease (and pay 6 months worth of rent) or stay in the unit. 2. No proper upkeep in the winter. If there is going to be any snow, ice, etc the complex does NOTHING ahead of time. I am not talking about waiting until roads are clear during

HORRIBLE customer service. We’ve been complaining about the AC being broken for over 4 years. Same BS excuse and same procedure everytime. I’ve provided pictures and proof and still no solution. They lie and give you false hope so If I could put 0 stars I would. DO NOT COME HERE. There are plenty of other places to live. The picture below shows how hot it was in our apartment
