Collective apartments

I would not rent from these people again. Though out my two years at one of their apartments, I was allegedly accused of dumping oil illegally, not picking up my dog's shit, and parking in middle of the road. They had no proof of any of these false claims. On the dog shit, I had received no message from collective until a text message stating was going to get charged with no proof. Again had no proof of these false claims, so I was not charged. I have rented for the past 7 years and always got my full security deposit back. On the move out, they did the walk through and said OVERALL CLEAN UNIT. Lady stated I would get my FULL SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. On move out sheet written and CIRCLED FULL DEPOSIT. A month later I got a letter stating keeping $125 for carpet and $20 for filling in nail

I would not rent from this company ever again, nor recommend them to anyone. I have moved around and rented in different states for the last 10 years and I have never had a company treat me like this before anywhere else. I lived here for one year, they make the place look nice, but they are really dumps, there is trash outside of all the buildings for days and weeks before it is cleaned up. The parking is terrible. You will not get your security deposit back no matter how clean you leave the place. We left the place cleaner than when we moved in and still were charged a cleaning fee, we had the carpets professionally cleaned like they ask with receipts to prove it, even paid a company to come and patch a small spot our dog chewed. Upon moving out of our unit, we left the apartment in better shape than we received it. It was left in spotless condition. Despite this, we lost our security deposit due to the excessive charges and abuses of power by the management. One of the reasons we were charged was because of remnants of a white soapy substance on the bottom of the oven which had to be wiped away. You read that right: we left it too clean. Finally, management was not receptive to any complaints regarding the nature of these charges and our feelings of being cheated.

Apartments are made to look nice but materials are super cheap. They won’t give you your refund back if you move out, doesn’t matter how good you clean the place. Only way to get the deposit back would to be rent but not live in it. And pray you get a first floor. Apartments are so cheap you can hear everyone above, below and beside you. Management will give you citations over stuff like having children. Wouldn’t recommend renting here if you are a minority. Faced a lot of racism.

Highest price in the area. Nice apartments. But will tow your car if you aren’t diligent on checking emails. $500 later. Will never rent from them again and they could care less how they treat there tenants.
