City of St. Joseph Housing Authority

Well I lived at 210 n 8th Apt 103 summer of 2025 a fire broke out and the st Joseph fire inspector red tagged my apartment.Saying it wasn't livible to live in. Well do to the wall plugs sticking out a foot out of the wall, the electric wall heater hasn't been maintained at all. Gary White the called so maintenance man and if you want to call his crew a crew. Never maintained anything but a paint brush and a cigarette in their mouths... And the st Joseph housing authorities kicked me off housing for some slumlords Robert scheming wanting to hiring some want to be maintenance guy Gary White not maintaining his property. Totally unfair to the public people like myself trying to just maintain a roof over their heads, pay their bills and just have a place to call home... What gives here. Someo

I have been trying to find a house or apartment for more than two years and as a last resort applied for assistance that included applying for the apartments located behind their building on 36th Street. I returned the application and haven't received any calls or emails about availability or that they received the application and it has been several weeks since I returned it. Months later, no reply.

I lived here in 1995 for 5yrs.I really enjoy it , Was a little wild there then! But management an staff did all they could to keep things running smother. That's about the time the St.Joseph's finest started Babysitting "Awesome Job Guys" the place needed it.

I don't live out there, but a family friend does. I was inside the apartment while my friend was gone volunteering somewhere and the housing authority person just barged into the apartment. No notice to my friend or anything. Started harping on about me being unauthorized or some such nonsense. I bet they get sued often for harassment.

Someone was using their cell phone for business and got hacked. Now I get 50 scam emails a day. These people no work experience and are dumb and unprofessional. I moved into an apartment without blinds,light fixtures, and doors. Lupe what a joke. I was on housing 10 years in SD this office is just unprofessional and dumb.
